I am a dream chaser, and probably the last of the chivalric romantic warriors.... passionate about what I do––not much of a planner but things seem to always fall into place!
But meanwhile, I have collaborated as a pianist and keyboardist with some of the major figures in rock, R&B, and jazz history. Concerts and recordings include artists such as Wilson Pickett, The Association, Dennis Wilson, Jan and Dean, Peter Cetera, Rickie Lee Jones, Evie Sands, Henry Gross, and The Beach Boys (1969 - 1981), among many other great artists. My contribution to jazz includes concert/recordings with a wide variety of jazz giants, such as Charles Lloyd, Chico Hamilton, Les McCann, Wayne Henderson, George Benson, Lenny White, Chris Potter, Joe Chambers, Putter Smith, and Lucille Dixon. My fourth jazz album Maverick captured the mainstream jazz arena with an all-star cast including legendary bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Jack DeJohnette. Featured guest soloists were Don Byron and David Sanchez, both Grammy Award recipients for 2005. Maverick was nominated among the best CDs of 2006 in Downbeat Magazine. In 2007, I was invited to be a guest on the famed Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz radio show on National Public Radio - an experience I’ll always cherish! I regularly host and play at my jazz club/fine dining Restaurant, Carli's Fine Bistro & Piano, in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.
