Carlos Munoz
Originally from Costa Rica, Carlos grew up in Richmond, Virginia and Miami, Florida. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2000 with degrees in German and International Studies with a Business Option, he spent a few years working with GE Capital before moving to Washington, DC to pursue a career in government/politics. After nearly four years of working in the U.S. Senate, he spent 2 years at the National Association of Manufacturers. In 2006, he went to work at the International Republican Institute to work on developing and strengthening democratic institutions and processes in Latin America. In October 2010, Carlos moved to Bogota to continue this work in the field.
