Carlos Guevara

Since coming to US at age of 20, I had to face a lot of challenges during my first days in this country; leaving behind family and friends I grew up, and the culture and society that shaped my personality and ways of thinking. In this new phase of my life I had to quickly adapt to new language, new culture, new family, and totally different lifestyle. Arriving to New York City added an additional challenge, I had to keep up with the pace of a never-sleeping city where everything moves fast and stress is part of the culture.

Looking back to what has been living in New York City for the past 15 years, I have witnessed a huge impact in my personal and professional life. Adopting a new language, a new culture, a new perspective of the world are some of the factors that contributed for my growth as an individual and better human being. I have had the satisfaction to overcome limitations and barriers in many aspects of my personal and professional life to achieve the goals I have set in my professional and educational life.

I am convinced that the secrets for success are persistence, humbleness, creativity, and always setting the next goal in your life and career.
