Carlos Casanova is the Founder & President of K2 Solutions Group, Inc. and co-author of "The CMDB Imperative: How to realize the dream and avoid the nightmares ". As the lead Solutions Architect for K2 Solutions, he specializes in the transformation of data into actionable information by leveraging the implementation and efficient operation of Configuration Management Systems (CMS). Prior to forming K2 Solutions, he was Director of ITIL Configuration Management and Sr. Enterprise Architect with MetLife, Inc. where he was the visionary and manager for the first CMDB deployment and subsequently helped design its second generation, enterprise wide ITSM platform.

Mr. Casanova serves on the board of the itSMF New England Local Interest Group, editor of the itSMF USA Newsletter and is the President of the itSMF USA Sustainable 360 SIG. He is currently working to adapt Green IT and Sustainability concepts to the Service Management and Configuration Management practices with the vision and expectation that enterprises can reduce their energy related expenses and/or restrictions through simple and low cost adjustments to their current practices.
