Carly Weber

A 16 year old girl who grew up in Bomanville, Ontario, Canada, Carly Weber is a country artist who is just waiting to bloom. Carly plays a vast array of instruments like the guitar, piano, accordion, steel guitar, mandolin, trumpet and clarinet. This love of music came from her family; her aunts and father were all musicians. But she was hooked on country music, her dad showed it to her when she was 12 and she was hooked at how easily a story is told through country music and the song writing that came with that genre.

Carly has always loved creative writing in school and so it is no wonder she has a solid relationship with song writing, she respects it is a way she can express her feelings or an experience. She has stated that there are no boundaries for her when she writes songs. Her sound is also a huge part of her music; she enjoys every genre so she has a lot of influence from different styles and sounds. But she is mature at heart, she loves older country and artists like Rod Stewart and Tom Petty.

When asked about her biggest inspirations she had this to say, “Miranda Lambert for knowing who she is and sticking with it throughout her whole career, I think that’s something that every new artist should do from the start. As a songwriter, my other inspirations would be Kacey Musgraves and Loretta Lynn just for their ability to push the limits as a songwriter and write about such simple things, yet still have the song be so powerful.”

This girl has a good sense of where she wants to go, and that passion can drive her straight to the top. With education being the first thing she is looking after and music a close second it is no doubt that this smart, young artist has a future in music. She is old country, with a fresh new sound.
