I am a teacher and eyelash technician currently living outside Simcoe, ON, Canada.

I have been an LTO teacher for the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board for three and a half years now. I just became a permanent teacher in March of 2020. In June I also found out I will be starting my permanent teaching career at the school I have been at for the past two years, which was also the high school I attended.

I have taught over 20 different courses since starting my teaching journey. My consistent teaching areas include: careers and civics, English and history. I am qualified to teach primary, junior, intermediate and senior levels. I have taken a wide variety of AQ courses over the past five years. At the senior level I am special education, English and history qualified. I am recently obtained my Guidance and Careers specialist.

I am taking this course as my goal is to teach co-operative education in my board and to help modernize the program and the experience for the students. After switching to remote teaching, I realized there are improvements that can be made across my board and with co-operative education being a passion, this is an area I would like to work in more in the future. I also have really enjoyed collaborating with other co-operative education teachers in past courses and love learning about potential new placements, trends in the workplace and the benefits of co-operative education in career and life planning.

Most recently, I just finished teaching Grade 12 College English and Job Skills Co-op. What I loved was helping my students decide on their post secondary goals and working with them to create a plan to achieve these goals. Many of my English students were in co-operative education so I was also able to help them with assignments, talking to their manager and composing emails to their teacher.

This summer I am teaching at the local youth detention centre! I was supposed to teach our specialized cooperative education course for at risk students but was asked to assist in planning the course, but delivering instruction at the detention centre.

I am 27.5 years old and live on a farm. I moved out of my parent's house two years ago and back into the home I grew up in as a child. Keep in mind, I moved two houses down. I love living next door to my parents and grandparents and my mother and grandmother are my biggest supporters.
