Carman is an interior designer with great aspirations. She is an enthusiastic, compassionate, and well-rounded individual who strives to learn and help those around her everyday. Through her studies at British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and work experiences in the retail industry, Carman has developed a variety of technical and interpersonal skills to present and express her design solutions and ideas clearly. Equipped with a keen sense and understanding of current trends, Carman has the ability to create functional and aesthetic spaces harmoniously.

Carman has a broad working knowledge in:
• AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and SU Podium
• The British Columbia Building Codes
• Microsoft Offices (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Generating design solutions, concept development and space planning
• Assembling specification packages such as materials, plumbing, and fixtures

Having a passion for hiking and yoga has allowed Carman to apply the determination of pushing forward and setting goals into her work ethics and designs. She believes and follows her design philosophy that “design is ever changing, it is not a preference, but a necessity inspired through a holistic approach by incorporating function and beauty into the built space”.
