Carmel Balan is a procurement and governance professional with over a decade of experience across the City University of New York (CUNY) system, specializing in public sector operations, internal controls, and compliance-driven procurement strategy. She currently serves as Associate Director of Procurement at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, where she oversees procurement administration across multiple funding streams, including tax-levy, non-tax-levy, and grant-funded programs.
