Carmen Casal
Student and Musician in Philippines
Hello! I am a Music Technology student with a primary focus on Songwriting and Audio Mixing.
After being inspired to pick-up the Ukulele and eventually Bass and Guitar, I joined the school band in my Junior High School years. This is when I started to write my own songs; often serious or silly or a mix of both.
Falling in love with music at a young age, but without any formal training, I still dreamed of studying music in a Conservatory; and eventually I did!
After a few years of writing songs, in 2017 I found myself commissioned to write a jingle for the NGO Social Watch Philippines' “Tax Tobacco to the Max” campaign and in 2020, another for “The Philippine Smoke-Free Movement”, of which I am also an advocate.
Being in the Conservatory for 4 years, I have discovered what I am good at and have further developed my composition and mixing skills. With this I aim to help aspiring artists and musicians to fulfill their dreams; be it recording their first album, writing a song for their projects, and even scoring a short film.
