In the 1990s, After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor degree in Sociology, minors in Anthropology and International Relations she began working as a social worker for state of Tennessee with weekly court appearances to represent her kids that in were foster care and assist families by creating and implementing plans of actions. Then Carmen felt the pull to go back to the Smokey mountains in North Carolina and began her career as a travel agent for a few years until she moved out to Seattle to attain her ESL certificate and then found herself exploring and living in Greece for awhile until fate had her relocating to Florida. Once settled in Florida she began a new career in real estate.
In 2006, Carmen received her 200hour Yoga certification and in 2007, she became a certified AEM coach/facilitator (Applied Emotional Mastery). Her professional experience coupled with her personal spiritual quest were the alchemy that birthed Creative Retreats.net in 2008 and Reverent Rhythms in 2010. In Spring of 2012, Carmen finished Amrit level II 200 hour yoga certification and in Spring of 2013, Carmen received her 200 hour Kundalini yoga teacher certification.
Carmen maria's various travels and interests has given her the opportunity to meet and work with people from all around the world.
