I faced a breast cancer diagnosis in 2002, the same day my great niece joined this world. When I finished chemo and was healing from radiation, my sister took me to a quilting class at a local fabric shop. It was the first time I'd sewn seriously for a number of years, and I haven't stopped since. I've made so many quilts and quilted items, I opened an Etsy shop to offer them to the public.
