Carolina Becerra

I'm a software developer specialized in front-end techonologies who revels in understanding business needs and providing for them, building interfaces with great visual appeal and smooth interaction.

Having become interested in web development as a teenager and building fansites to practice, I went on to study Systems Engineering and worked on back-end with Smalltalk and Java before returning to UI development. I now have 5+ years of experience as a professional software developer, most devoted to large content management projects, ranging between RIAs and websites with JavaScript components.

I like to focus on user experience and code maintainability, and have worked often on cross-browser compatibility, which keeps me learning about performance enhancements and best practices, and adding frameworks and libraries to my toolbox, such as Backbone or YUI.
