Carol Ann Maner

Hi, I’m Carol Ann Maner, and I’m a therapist specially trained in working with people who are struggling with problem gambling. I am also trained to support family members who have been impacted by someone else's gambling. I have spent many years getting to know, and learning how to support, recovering people. Upon graduating from the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work in 2014, I served as a Mental Health Case Manager at a community-based agency called Change Happens! Later, I joined Daring Ventures at its launch in July 2017, where I served families impacted by sex addiction, gambling disorder and co-occurring mental health issues. In 2024, my husband and I founded the Gambling Clinic of Texas, LLC to meet the needs of families impacted by gambling harms.
