Carolina de Paula

Seattle

I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil and since 2007, I have been a citizen of the world.

I spent one year in Mexico, then moved to the US, traveled to so many different places and opened my mind to diversity and cultures.

I am a unfinished result from hard work, travelling, loving and education. I believe knowledge and the search for the truth should be everyone's goals in life.

I believe in humanity and human values. Life should come first, not money. It makes me sad that the search for profit and market growth is a higher priority than life. Globalization, capitalism, market expansion, revenue, stock prices, all of this, is much more appreciated than basic values for life, like environment, end of poverty and starvation, polution, planet resources management and so many other important aspects for human existence.

In a world of 7 billion people, there is no way humanity to find peace. It is hard to say this, but we should stop growing in number and start growing in values and use less. Consume less. Waste less. The more we grow in numbers as a society, there is more demand, not enough resources, not enough jobs, companies keep on growing in power and deciding what to do with people. One becomes insignificant, when there is a queue of people outside waiting to occupy the same job position for less. This is basic economics, supply and demand. People are becoming commodities.

Never stop educating yourself, searching for the truth and acquiring more knowledge. Unfortunately, the truth is hard to find nowadays because there are too many institutions lying to us all the time.

For that reason, I want to help bringing the humanity back to every day life. Behind numbers and profits, there are people and families trying to make a living.

I am also a programmer:

function MakeLifeBetter() {

if ( ! isThereHumanValue() ) {

notWorthMyTime() ;

}

}
