Carolina Loza Leon is an Ecuadorian freelance journalist with over five years of experience, writing in both English and Spanish for outlets such as The New Humanitarian, Foreign Policy, France 24 among others. Carolina's work spans across Ecuador and Colombia, where she has reported on peace processes and human rights issues. She was awarded Ecuador’s most prestigious journalism prize,Jorge Mantilla Ortega in 2021 and was a finalist for the Gabo Prize in 2022.
