I was assigned, in a Marketing course, to create a profile on this thing; but for some reason it fascinated me that I could learn random facts about anyone, within the scope of the site at least, because people are generally interesting.
So here's the recap of my previously posted background, because revising information that hasn't changed since first written seems unnecessary: I was born in Brazil, where I lived for 7 years until leaving everything I knew to be raised in Massachusetts. My life took on a 360 and it seemed much like the end of the world at the time, yet here we are, the world and I, still alive.
I value my ethnic roots and background but I am incredibly grateful for the culture I've since immersed myself into, and even more so for the combination of the two because they've built me.
My passion: Exploring and learning new things about people, lifestyles, outlooks, useless fun-facts, etc. I've found that I have a complex about boredom, therefore anything new is typically welcome.
My oversimplified philosophy on life: Change is inevitable, but our response to it is what we make of it. So if we don't overcome it, do we ever really grow up?
I am concluding my BBA degree in Accounting at UMass Amherst and am pursuing my CPA shortly after. So far, the plan is to join PwC as an auditor; and I say so far, because people constantly tell me that nothing is for sure, although I wish that wasn't the case because I'm an accountant therefore a planner by nature. I'm not sure if I've retained any readers this far into my random array of opinions, (If so, thanks! Hope you like reading what I have to say!) but I would like to take this moment to defend myself against the stereotype of "boring accountant." I personally think I fairly interesting.. but I guess I could be biased.
Aside from my 'A Day in the Life" synopsis, I am just another college girl.
Thanks for reading!
