Caroline Levy is a third year student at Ryerson University majoring in Creative Industries, a new interdisciplinary degree that combines an arts education with a business foundation. Within this program, she specializes in the music industry and storytelling in media, and is minoring in entrepreneurship and innovation. Her academic performance has earned her a spot on the Dean’s List each year thus far, as well as academic scholarships.

She aspires to one day make music her full-time gig, working ultimately in a public relations position. Currently, she works part-time as an assistant to the founder of Honey Jam Canada, an annual all-female showcase aimed at fostering homegrown musical talent from across Canada. Within this role, she has had the opportunity to assist in the audition process, engage in public relations surrounding the showcase, and seek out sponsorship.

In her spare time, she loves to play guitar and sing, and has performed at multiple events around the Greater Toronto Area, including “We Can Change the World Day” – a fundraising event in support of Free the Children. Her original song, “Make a Change,” was also featured on that event’s CD.

For the past 2 years, Caroline has been actively involved in the Ryerson University branch of Hillel Ontario, the Jewish student organization, serving as the Arts & Culture Chair on the student board. Through Hillel, she has had the opportunity to take on leadership roles in planning various events, such as a paint night in support of SickKids Hospital.
