Carol Ndosi is a media personality with over 7 years’ media experience, having worked at Tanzania’s biggest media house, IPP Media. She started with 101.4 Sky FM- The then BBC Reference in Tanzania. Carol advanced to an English News Anchor and Sub editor of the English News Bulletin at ITV, also hosting a program called ‘The Diplomat’.

In 2005, She moved to EATV as a Producer and Presenter of her own Current Affairs show 5 Connect. In 2007, she became a freelance events planner and manager, where she then joined Executive Solutions Ltd, one of the TOP Tanzanian PR Agencies for three years’ as the Head of Events,PR and Government Relations. In 2011, Carol launched her own event management company.

The company, Alta Vista Events, is the sole proprietor of the largest barbecue festival in East and Central Africa.

Early 2015, she hosted a show called Siasa Za Siasa under Mkasi TV that contributed to encouraging Tanzanians to vote and become aware of the politics going on in the country.

Carol was chosen for the Young African Leaders Initiative -Mandela Washington Fellowship Program Cohort 2016, under Business and Entrepreneurship Track at the University of Texas in Austin where she completed the course. In 2017, Carol joined Tanzania Data Lab a project under MCC and PEPFAR as the project manager.

She is a mentor, coach and speaker on issues affecting Youth and Women Development. Carol has been on several panels advocating for Internet Freedom,Open Access and Open Data, Democratic Rights,Women Rights and Empowerment, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship. She is a Global Goals Champion under United Nations Tanzania.

From her passion for development advocacy and activism, Carol has co-founded Mamaendeleo Foundation a social enterprise for women economic empowerment and income generating activities and The Launch Pad Tanzania, an entrepreneurs hub offering comprehensive and professional personal and business development support and training.

She founded these organisations driven by her passion and purpose to share her entrepreneurial experience to uplift other women and youth in agribusiness and business development.

She believes in the economic empowerment of women and youth as a vital element in sustainable development of communities.

Carol is a public influencer and activist of freedom of speech, democracy and several development issues and uses her platforms to speak about collective responsibility and active citizenship.
