Former HR professional turned social entrepreneur intent on engaging the US government and America's leading employee and family-friendly companies to partner in establishing a national work/life agenda for all Americans.
America cannot compete globally without modernizing the workplace to accomodate women who are often primary caregivers to children, adults and elders.
The first step is a guarantee from "Uncle Sam" that whether male or female, all human beings are equal in the eyes of the law under the Equal Rights Amendment.
As equal stakeholders, men and women can then petition "Uncle Sam" for the policies, programs and benefits that further their interests as direct contributors to the US economy.
United 4 Equality, LLC was co-founded with my mother, Maureen Gehrig Cook, for the sole purpose of spearheading our congressional joint resolution SJR15/HJR43 to remove any deadline for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment in the final three states required. Our goal is 2015.
Currently, there are eight campaigns in states to ratify the federal Equal Rights Amendment and they need national support from Congress and voters to ultimately win locally.
