In the United States nearly 2,000 go missing every day. Cynthia Caron, president and founder of LostNMissing Inc (LNM) has successfully located many missing loved ones to bring them home to their families. Those that are more easily located online are teenagers who tend to run off from home or adults who may be having emotional difficulties. LNM has proven to be a valuable and supportive tool both emotionally and physically for those beginning the steps of searching for their missing loved one. Our services and support to the families continue to be provided, for those registered with our organization, from the time their loved one goes missing until they are located. Many relationships with families are maintained even after their loved one is located. How could it not? A bond is instantly formed and her personal devotion, compassion and continued focus to help bring home their loved one invariably come to love them as part of her own family at LNM.
Cynthia Caron is a rare person. Married and the mother of 3 adult children, one whom is special needs. Cynthia utilizes her advocacy skills not only to help her adult son but to help families of the missing overcome obstacles that they too endure.
Back in 2002, while in a large retail store, she noticed nobody looking at photos of missing children. After awhile, she felt that the general public was desensitized to the same kinds of posters. They had just become different faces and people no longer stopped to take the time to look and read. She decided to use her graphic skills to design unique posters which invariably created the background foundation of her work.
In 2008, Cynthia decided to become an official charity organization and obtained her 501c3 nonprofit status in 2009.
She works continually in giving her time to the missing and their families . She has helped over 1200 families since starting LostNMissing Inc. How does she do this? Some of the things that make Cythia "rare" are that she relentlessly advocates for the families of missing that need her assistance and she does this by going above and beyond what most people would do. Her compassion and relentless determination to find the missing person for their family has been the glue that has held families together.
