Carolina Pozo

Never give up on something you can’t stop dreaming about!” , a quote often heard from the Miami native and daughter of Cuban immigrants, Carolina Pozo. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, doctors as well as composers (her great-uncle was Juan Arrondo who wrote the lyrics to many beautiful boleros), Carolina, or as she is often referred to-Caro, felt her passion was in the arts.

As a child she would perform for her family and friends, either by singing or acting out skits. She has always loved acting and singing, as well as technical art. The art world is where Caro calls home.

She recently graduated from Florida International University where she received her Bachelors in Fine Arts in Theatre. During her enrollment at FIU, Caro made use of her summer breaks and attended various programs and workshops such as: NYU’s Tisch Cap21 summer program, New York Film Academy for Acting and Dolphin Entertainment Acting workshops.

She has performed in various plays, musicals, and independent films as well as commercials, t.v. segments, and fashion shows. When not on stage or in front of a camera, you can find Caro working behind the scenes. She is skilled at building sets for productions, electrics, and make-up artist for both stage and film. Caro has also been involved in song/script writing.

Because Caro could not “stomach” being a doctor like most of her family members, she feels strongly that through her voice and movement she could be the medicine for the heart. Caro believes, “…all artists should be well rounded and educated in order to understand and truly appreciate their craft. The possibilities are endless. Working together, we can create an incredible cathartic experience.”
