Carrie Crockett

Rancho Santa Fe, California

I specialize in archival research relating to Eurasia and the Russian Far East; processing historical documents and narratives of all types is my passion. In my capacity as PhD researcher I am currently analyzing the role of the Sakhalin penal colony with the larger Russian system as part of the University of Leicester's European Research Council funded project, "The Carceral Archipelago; transnational circulations in global perspective, 1450-1960." I am also a founding member of the NPO, the Mongolian Scholars Fund, which provides underserved students in Ulaanbaatar with access to computers. If you are interested in similar subjects, I would love to collaborate with you and would welcome your contact.
