Carrie Rich

Washington d.c. Metro Area

My name is Carrie Rich and I serve as CEO of The Global Good Fund. I co-founded The Global Good Fund in December 2011 based on my belief that young people can change the world, especially when working with experienced leaders.

I tested this theory in my own career while teaching as an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University where I developed a Healthcare Sustainability curriculum that was the first of its kind. The syllabus was adapted into a book, Sustainability for Healthcare Management: A Leadership Imperative, co-authored through Routledge Publishers.

I co-developed business concepts, secured funding and hired and retained CEOs to lead My Primary Care Doctor (MyPMD) and Blu2Green LLC. I’m the Scholarship Chair of the National Capital Healthcare Executives and former Board Chair of Everybody Eats DC, a nonprofit restaurant. At age fifteen, I co-founded Teens for Technology, a nonprofit founded and run by teenagers to bring computer literacy to peers, beginning in Jamaica. Today the organization is self sustaining, run by locals.

I graduated with a MS in Health Systems Administration from Georgetown University, a BA from Lehigh University and a certificate in Healthcare Quality from Harvard University. I volunteer as a pro-bono consultant to international nonprofits seeking business expertise and I enjoy photography, other people’s cooking and jogging, on occasion.
