From a young age, Carrie had a passion for cooking, which her grandparents, parents, and 4-H contributed to significantly. Over time, the passion for cooking was partnered with a passion for nutrition and health. Carrie obtained her BS in Kinesiology and Nutrition Science from Kansas State University in 2005. She completed her dietetics internship in 2006. To further her skills in developing community health education and programs, she completed her Masters of Public Health in 2008 with an emphasis in Physical Activity and Nutrition.

Since 2006, Carrie has worked as an outpatient and community dietitian. She uses evidence based practices to promote long-term behavior change with her clients. Carrie works with a wide range of populations ranging from pediatrics to older adults. She specializes in primary and secondary chronic disease prevention and treatment, weight loss, and women, infant and child health. Carrie helps her clients learn the tools for successful behavior change that promotes long term results. Every step of her counseling is tailored to the needs of her client. She understands that changing eating behaviors is a challenging task and do not happen overnight.
