Welcome to my blog if you haven't guessed, I love Italy. But mostly what fascinates me is how with- in our busy world the Italians seem to capture the essence of keeping traditions alive. As with many other's respectfully. Although,I'am here to write, entice and inspire people from around the globe to take a closer look at how and why holding onto family values, traditions, recipes, folklore and even SLOW parenting is so important.

My view point comes from having lived in Italy and with my back ground being half Italian. I choose to embrace my roots and cultivate the SLOW movement with in my daily living.

The SLOW movement is being mindful of things such as bio-regionalism, and building community keeping traditions alive. Cultivating heritage seeds for planting so we dont loose our once prized heirloom veggies and fruit. But more over I believe in what our for fathers and ancestors taught us. And that is live with the land and people equally and all will flourish. Take your time and embrace simplicity.

I am a mother of a toddler and live currently in Vancouver, BC. I work as a Yoga teacher and have many intrests such as music, photography, fine arts and gastronomy But,,my main intrest is Italian culture and food living the Italian way.

It dawned on me after returning from Italy that wow! life here is pretty fast paced. And many things we do require choosing between sometimes the things we love the most for work and aquiring things. Then I thought...what if we just took time, slowed down and set limits to things such as work vs play. Important questions like, what we are willing to give up so we can spend more time with family and friends and our children? So, here arrives the slow movement the philosophy of I call it the Italian way the belle paese.

As I read and write more and recall my days back in Italy memories roll into my train of thought and SLOW traditional is definatly the logo if one should call it so. The joy of simplicity and living well.

As I study, research, design my blog I wish to not only invite all readers into a charming, realistic narrative of Life in Italy. But also teach about the Slow Movement and how it originated from this beautiful country through various mediums such as Travel,Food, Wine, Art, Music, health/wellness,language
