Carrie Leach
Me: Well I'm interested in social reseacrch, media communications, communications of any sort, exchanges of ideas, bad reality tv shows, finding balance, always changing, never settling, helping others reach their potential, and dry humor.
I've always kept my educational goals broad so I woudn't be pegged for any one job, career or trajectory. I'm interested in everything and wouldn't ever turn away a new experience to learn something new. I didn't plan on taking this path in gerontology, but I'm grateful for the place I've arrived.
I completed my Master of Public Administration degree from Wayne State University in 2009, a baccalaureate degree in Communications from Madonna University in 2004, and an associate's degree in Liberal Arts from Schoolcraft College in 1997.
In addition to research that helps advance the health and well-being of older adults, my current role at the Institute of Gerontology focuses on program evaluation, special projects, and community engagement via social media.
