I'm an experienced American teacher of history, ESL, literature, and French with a master's of European History from the University of Cambridge (UK). I have taught students from more than two dozen countries, including a class in China. My experience includes both teaching from existing curriculum frameworks and creating my own comprehensive curriculum, achieving significant results in each using the latest tech tools.

I spent eight years at WGBH, the country's largest public media producer, working on national and local television productions including Basic Black, Maria Hinojosa: One-on-One, and Neighborhood Kitchens. In charge of researching show topics, securing guests, managing social media, hiring and supervising interns. Produced web series and video podcasts.

I wrote a daily email for Boston readers of NYLON magazine for two years.

I write occasional essays for the Boston Globe.

I freelance as a copyeditor.

Hobbies include learning foreign languages (fluent French, proficient Spanish, beginning Mandarin), anything by Agatha Christie, and shoes.
