Carrie Goodman

Hi, I'm Carrie Goodman and I have recently graduated from Pace University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Since childhood, my journey has taken many turns both expected and unexpected. Although it hasn’t always been clear, my path has informed the person I am today.

At age 3, I crawled atop the dinner table at the Cheesecake Factory in Marina Del Ray, CA because the lure of the Anthurium flower on display was too great to ignore. While no one was watching, I ate my way through that shiny, red, heart-shaped flower and then happily resided back to my seat at the table. I was satisfied; not only with the meal I had just devoured but also, by the task that I had completed (eating that flower without anyone knowing). Unfortunately, I basked in my glory too soon. Perhaps, it was the bright red dye that covered my face or the absence of the flower from the middle of the table that gave me away, but one thing was certain;that I established myself that night as an avid explorer with a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for new things.

Since then, I have traveled to Japan, Singapore, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Bulgaria, and more. I have made it my goal to visit all 50 states of this country and now only have 4 left to see. My travels brought me to Vermont, which is where I embarked on my journey of higher learning. While in Vermont, my taste in food expanded to include more than pretty table flowers. My passion for food included not only cooking and eating, but also how to grow food from a seed to a vegetable ready for harvest. My curiosity and passion for learning and life brought me back to New York City!

One of the things I love the most about New York City is the accessibility of its vastly different cultures and all that they offer to enrich the city. Whether it is eating new foods from different cultures or hearing different languages being spoken on the street, there is always something new to learn and experience here in New York.

All of the places I have been and adventures I have survived have helped shape who I am today; a fearless leader, strong communicator and a valuable team player. While at Pace University, I consistently placed on the Dean's list, led the school's Ad Team and graduated with high honors all thanks to keeping my eyes, ears and mouth open! I look forward to the new adventures that await and the next chapter of my professional journey.
