Hugo Rios-Cordero

Hugo Rios-Cordero was born in the West of Puerto Rico in 1972. Studied at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez where he obtained his B.A in Comparative Literature and his M.A in English Education. His master thesis was about the connection between Gothic literature and Magic Realism. He then studied Comparative Literature at Rutgers, NJ. He is currently working on his dissertation about cinephilia. He has published three books: Two short-story collections: Marcos sin retratos (2003) and A lo lejos, el cielo (2010) and a poetry collection, Al otro lado de tus parpados (2006). He is currently working on two novels Vendaval and Desintegracion. Also on a fabula collection.
