In college, I dreamed of one day becoming a sassy, always-on-the-move PR rep. Preferably for a record label or professional sports organization. Then the reality of being an entry-level applicant set in and I got a job working for a university instead. The professors weren’t quite as entertaining as the artists I encountered at my record label internship in Manhattan, but taking a job at a top-ranked business school proved rewarding nevertheless.
Eight years and one Master’s degree later, public relations has been good to me. With a solid network of reporters, editors, bloggers, and key influencers, I’ve pitched and landed media placements in news outlets ranging from the Philadelphia Business Journal and The Wall Street Journal to The Chronicle of Higher Education and SmartCEO magazine.
Along the way, I picked up freelance writing. My specialty the last nearly four years has been graduate business education. As a freelance contributor for Poets & Quants, I write articles for a leading website that’s dedicated to the world’s top business schools. Graduate business school trends, entrance exams, students, faculty; these are just some of the areas I’ve covered. Since 2010, my writing projects have resulted in high-profile exposure thanks to some of my work being picked up and published by CNNMoney.com/Fortune.com.
If you have a need for a freelance writer, I’d love to hear from you! Areas I can or have covered include business education, entrepreneurship, careers, and women in business. I also offer contract writing services and can be available for freelance public relations writing and/or campaign work.
