Alan Carty

I've worked in automation since graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1985.

In 2000 I founded a company that has evolved into two businesses. One is a Technical Recruiting and Staffing Firm focused on all automation related positions (automationtechies); the other is an automation industry online magazine (Automation.com).

Before starting Automationtechies/Automation.com, I worked for more than 11 years for a large independent Rockwell-Automation distributor where I held positions including: Automation Specialist, Automation Sales and Operations Manager. Prior to that, I had worked as a Field Engineer, Plant Engineer, and Systems Programmer.

Specialties: Recruiting for Automation related positions, and helping automation suppliers get exposure to their products and services.
