After growing up in a small town in East Texas, the first thing I wanted to do after high school graduation was to get out of town....so I did. I moved to Colorado where fate would introduce me to a beautiful young lady who captured my heart. A few years later, we visited her home town of Lincoln, Nebraska to exchange our vows. Fast forwarding eight years finds us as excited parents bringing our 10-day old daughter home to begin the process of building our family.

My wife's profession as a programmer in the IT industry inspired me to first get an Associate of Arts in Electro-Mechanical Drafting and later continue pursuing a BA in English with an emphasis in Professional Writing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. While it may not have much appeal to a youngster growing up, raising a family in a hometown atmosphere has its advantages when viewed through years of life's experiences. So, when an opportunity to advance my career while moving to a slower pace of life presented itself just a few years ago, we returned to Texas.

I've continued my pursuit of knowledge as a student of Technical Communication and Rhetoric at Texas Tech University and am excited with the opportunity to further develop web skills through project assignments in the final class of my Master's coursework.
