Casey Lee Walker

Dallas Fort Worth

Some people have low goals and shy away from a challenge, Casey Lee Walker is not one of those people. Walker has had a strong drive and motivation since she was a child. From her early childhood days of

running a babysitting company in her hometown, complete with a marketing plan, to her days in high school throwing herself into opportunities unusual for high school students, to her current days spent

furthering her education and experiencing the world at TCU, Walker has always been up for a challenge.

Walker grew up in a small town in Kansas with few outlets to channel her passion for working and

learning more. She was never one to shy away from a club or organization; she joined every club she was allowed to during her freshman year. By exposing herself to a diverse group of options, Walker was able to find her niche doing community service, joining boards, and having leadership positions in athletics, theatre and student government. This led to a busy high school career interning with a national traveling theatre host, planning events as student-body president and helping produce concerts and events through local start-up companies and non profit organizations. All of her hard work led her to the challenge of attending Texas Christian University.

From her first days at TCU, Walker has been a go-getter. In addition to class, Walker works in multiple areas of the TCU Recreation Center and the TCU Athletic Office. She has also found a love for interning and

exploring different career paths. Walker labels herself as a hands-on learner rather than a traditional

textbook student. Walker doesn’t let any opportunity become a waste of time. She spent her summer

following her freshman year in Los Angeles working for two public relations firms. While in LA she

assisted with research, communication, and event planning and event execution. She had the opportunity to see movie premieres, awards shows, and Hollywood parties first hand from start to finish. The next fall Walker accepted an internship to work with Speedway Children’s Charities at Texas Motor Speedway. This non-profit organization helped Walker sharpen her skills of event planning, social media usage,

fundraising and crisis management.

Walker intends to continue exploring various career paths in hopes of making herself a well-rounded

woman in the industry, as well a valuable asset to the organizations she works for
