I believe in honesty. This guiding principle has many faces: intellectual transparency in design, honesty in ingredients, vulnerability in personal relationships, and integrity in discourse. Being honest (yet also necessarily thoughtful, tactful, empathetic, and accepting) has always served me well in my interactions with others.
With this desire to impart the gift of honesty comes the impetus to discover truths, both positive and negative, and to share them with others. The urge becomes a mantra in my head that influences me constantly, whether I am writing about food and body care, communicating my feelings or listening to those of others, or molding an architectural design.
