Casey Schaub spent six years in the classroom teaching secondary mathematics before taking on a role as an instructional technologist in Genesee County in 2013.

He is passionate about tackling problems of practice by infusing the curriculum with technology.

Current responsibilities include:

• Analyzing instructional technologies to determine their potential ability to affect student achievement.
• Working with teachers, curriculum specialists, instructional technologists, and district leadership to determine best practice.
• Providing training in a variety of instructional technologies to staff members across the county and through a national virtual professional development portal.
• Reviewing the effectiveness of online courses.
