Casey Scieszka

I grew up in Brooklyn but have lived in the likes of Beijing and Timbuktu.

I'm a writer and graphic designer and I mostly work on projects with my

boyfriend Steven Weinberg. Our first book together is an illustrated account

of the time we spent living in Asia and West Africa. It's called To Timbuktu.

We also run a small nonprofit called Local Language Literacy

which is dedicated to creating, printing and distributing

books in local languages like Bamanankan and Wolof to

students in West and North Africa.
