Casey S. Soileau
I work for American Express in Tokyo as a section manager of Strategy & Business Development unit. One of my projects is to work with Japanese government to boost trade/inbound business to maximize the impact of Tokyo Olympics in 2020. Before joining AMEX, I was a product leader for National Instruments, a tech company based in Austin, TX.
Born in Hiroshima, I am fluent in Japanese and English, and have spent my entire life exploring both Japanese and American cultures. For professional life I mainly deal with Japanese clients and American coworkers. Because of these experiences, I became an expert of bridging different things: Japan & the U.S.; technology and public sectors; robotics & automotive. I also published a book called, Making a Robotic Car.
I hold a BS in Physics and Biophysics (Top of the Class) from University of California, San Diego.
In spare time, I spend time with my family with two lively daughters. And I love trying out new ramen places all over Japan. I also appreciate and read about industrial designs.
