Cash Buhari developed his interest in event management while he was studying for his Advertising & Marketing Communication Degree at De Montfort University. While the degree was interesting and informative, it was his best friend’s love of organizing house parties that really caught his attention. He got in on the action but wasn’t satisfied with small-scale events and was always on the lookout for the opportunity to organize an affair that was bigger and better than the one before it had been.
Before his university degree was through, Cash had developed his own reputation for organizing and hosting high-profile events that really drew in the crowds. His first event was a student gathering in Leicester that quickly turned into a weekly promotion capable of attracting live international acts to the stage. Eventually, armed with a BA Honours degree, he developed his passion for event management, turning recently rebranded Smart Concerts into an exciting, and very viable business.
Ask him what his greatest moment has been so far, and he’ll tell you it was the ‘hype around Kanye West’ who performed at one of his events, but he’ll also tell you that every event he’s managed has been special in its own way. It’s about creating magic, and watching the fruits of hard labour come to life as lively, vivacious, and successful events. It’s about promoting customer satisfaction, and the enjoyment of hosting fabulous parties everyone wants to attend.
Over the years, Cash has developed a unique set of skills that make him an expert in event management, and Smart Promo is thriving as a result.
