I have worked in the healthcare field for more than 15 years. I am familiar with both the inpatient side and the outpatient side of clinical operations. I started as a float secretary in Partners Healthcare and worked my way up the ranks to Administrative Coordinator for the Vice Chair of Emergency Medicine to working as a Clinic Supervisor of Infectious Disease then to Endocrine as the Practice Manager where I had oversight of the financial budget, staffing, team-building, management of the physical space, operations, patient flow, billing, scheduling, compliance, and process improvement projects. I worked as the Practice Administrator of Labor & Delivery giving me a lot of exposure and knowledge to OB/GYN as I worked with many OB/GYN physicians when their patients would be admitted to the L&D ward. I also built a strong networking relationship with other managers as well as working around the clock to maintain regulatory compliance for OSHA, DPH, and Joint Commission. I also worked as a department head of an outpatient radiation therapy center which had a complex billing matrix and staff that needed a lot of interpersonal intervention which I managed to cultivate a happy work environment for the staff and a positive experience for patients and their family members.
