Cassandra Rodriguez

Cassandra Rodriguez is a sophomore at the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. She is a first generation college student. Her senior year of high school she was an intern for Enbrige Energy, through Genesys Works, where she learned about the professional world and about the energy industry. For a few months she was a receptionist at Listo Tax Solutions where she gained a lot of customer service experience. One of her major career opportunities so far, was when she was hired by Community Family Centers for a Staff Accountant position. There, she worked the accounts payable and made sure payments were up to date. Within that same company, she also took the role of Receptionist, where she helped and interacted with low income clients, and Administrative Assistant, where she worked under the Director of Early Childhood Education. Community Family Centers gave Cassandra many great opportunities in which she was able to learn about the non-profit industry.

Cassandra is currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting. She plans to continue her education at Texas Tech University to obtain her Master's of Science in Accounting and become a Certified Public Accountant.
