What do you want to be when you "grow up" and why? When I graduate college I want to continue my education and eventually get a masters, then a doctorate in counseling psychology. I specifically want to work with children, adolescents, and families helping them strengthen their bond. My dream job would be working with adolescents transitioning from foster care to college or life past high school. I want them to know that although society has determined their path, that they can alter that and become anything they want. I want to be the one who gives them those tools and motivation. I have an extreme passion for children and the way many different parenting styles effects them.
Favorite campus spot: Cyber Cafe located in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education; bagels, coffee, and sandwiches... yum!
What advice do you have for new Cougar parents? Stay connected and excited! Become a coug, if you are not one already. Support all decisions your student makes, they will grow into an amazing adult, proffessional, and eventually alumni.
If you could change one thing about your college experience, what would it be? Getting involved at the beginning. I waited a semester to really enjoy the WSU community and that's when I fell in love with Pullman. If I would have researched my options and tested out programs, I would have developed that Cougar love from the start.
