Cassie Stone

I’m the less fearless half of the VagaBondGirls dynamic duo. I like to use trite expressions and fret over logistics.

“How will we get from point A to B?”

“How will we pay for C?”

“What do we do if ???”

When I finally pull my head out of my fully-referenced spreadsheets and stop all the hand-wringing, I can get around to enjoying myself.

People call me sarcastic, but I prefer witty. I’m anxious and known far and wide for obsessively planning. I have a little-kid-sounding voice that talks super-fast and gets squeaky when I get excited. I like to talk in asides – and that translates to a lot of dashes (and parentheses) in my writing.

I want to see all the places: Every nook, cranny, corner, mountaintop, valley, island, and ocean floor in the wide world. I love my mutt, road trips, talking fast and getting lost as far off the grid as humanly possible. My dream job is to be a nomad, but that whole worrisome nature of mine is constantly in the way. I just think carrying everything I own on my back and going wherever the wind blows would be the greatest adventure.

My blog – Curious Adventurer - is kind of like a scrapbook of adventures. Big trips have names – like “Cowboy Hunting” and “Gypsy Trip”– and my favorite places get their own category and place on the menu. I don’t update regularly, just when I have something to say and the time to say it.

The new blog –VagaBondGirls– is a joint project with one of my best friends and travel partners in crime, Lacey. We’ve decided to merge our creative genius to better share our explorations with the world – and trust me, you’ll want to follow along. We can’t take a trip without some kind of drama unfolding and leaving us in a hole to dig our way out of. I hope that you enjoy our adventures as much as we do. Happy trails!
