I like projects. Moving from place to place, country to country, purpose to purpose. I can't sit still when I get an idea. My latest - I'm starting a girls' soccer program for Tibetan refugees living in India. My dream of making radical change in an inspiring, exotic locale is coming true. I've taught in Thailand, India, Atlanta & Northern California. I'm a soccer player and coach. I practice Buddhism. I love my husband. My biggest struggle has been with the cultural idea that tells me I'm supposed to be buying a house & settling down to have children. Finally, at age 29, I feel myself pulling away from the grasp of this harmful & limiting idea. I still want to have a family, but I now see no reason to give up my passions in order to do so. I'm going for it. My dream: empower children & women all over the world, moving every few years to start a new project, leaving sustainable systems in place... and to do it with my happy family in tow. And to write a book that helps people to love themselves.
