Caston Binger has over a decade of teaching and learning experience, and therefore he loves what he does. He has been a teacher for fourteen years and is currently working as a Teacher on Special Assignment for the Rochester City School District.

His commitment to students of all abilities shines through in his unique assignment within his school building. One of his many responsibilities as a Teacher on Special Assignment include creating a welcoming, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all of the students. He also ensures that learning resources are available to students so that they have the tools needed to succeed academically. He knows that the students' development, perseverance, and achievement are all strongly influenced by his work and efforts.

When Caston Binger first started his role as a Teacher on Assignment, his task was to identify students who needed additional academic support. He had built up a significant amount of knowledge and experience over the years, which proved vital to him taking on this role. He worked collaboratively with other teachers to create learning strategies and plans to help students achieve their academic goals.

Caston graduated from State University of New York College at Cortland with a B.S. in Elementary Education. He went on to earn his first M.Ed. from Niagara University in School Administration & Supervision. Later on, Caston earned his second Master’s degree from Niagara University in School Leadership.

When Caston is outside of the school building, he enjoys working at his small home-improvement business. This environment allows him to lead his home renovation team and work collaboratively with clients. The improvement process offers homeowners a hands-on opportunity to learn about how their new home will be transformed to fit their vision. Similar to being in the classroom with students, Caston guides his customers every step of the way to make sure that they get the results they want to achieve.
