Let’s just start with the obvious. If you are thinking about occasional dating, but what you really want is a fully developed, committed, loved relationship, end it immediately. If this is what you long for, casual socializing will bring you nothing but disappointment. Casual dating don’t provide the same fulfillment as a real boyfriend, so don’t set yourself up for failure if you really want the latter.
You're A Jealous Guy
If you’ve ever felt green because of your guy who says someone else is attractive, or you’ve been too wary of her friend, or you have an unnatural amount of dissatisfaction with Margot Robbie and her perfect everything, casual socializing isn’t for you. You have to be as cold as a cucumber for this situation to work. And jealousy is the fastest way to take advantage of the fun from your light airy arrangement.
If you don’t like seeing multiple people at once, you may not be the ideal random dater. Sure, you could agree to an unrelated relationship without playing the field, but if one party is having fun with other people and the other isn’t, it’s sure to cause problems somewhere along the line.

Casual dating will only hurt you if you do it against your will, if you have no hope for the future with that person, or if you think it is immoral. If you enjoy the sense of freedom that comes with developing a relationship with a potential partner and testing the water before you commit, casual dating is one step toward finding a person with whom you may create a long-term commitment in the future.
Define Your Boundaries
Just because it’s casual dating doesn’t mean there can’t be any boundaries. Define yours. Do you have limitations in bed if the relationship becomes sexual? What are your rules for protection and protection against sexually transmitted diseases?
