Catherine Di Cesare

Catherine Di Cesare will graduate from Algonquin College’s Corporate Security and Risk Management program in April of 2011.

She entered the program in 2009 with a strong interest in Emergency Services that was developed while volunteering with St. John Ambulance in Guelph, Ontario where she completed a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Guelph.

Upon completing her degree, Catherine completed one year of Paramedic Studies at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario before discovering her true passion to be on the planning side of Emergency Services and entering the Corporate Security and Risk Management program at Algonquin College in Ottawa.

Upon entering Algonquin College, Catherine has proven to be an exceptionally bright student, making the Dean’s Honour List. Ms. Di Cesare was also the recipient of the 2010 Disaster Recovery Information Exchange Ottawa Chapter award for Business Continuity Planning and Emergency Management. During the summer of 2010 she had the opportunity to work in a security capacity at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville, Ontario during the 2010 G8 conference. In the fall of 2010 Catherine will complete her field placement with the Emergency Management and Infrastructure Security group of the Privy Council Office. Catherine also holds certificates in Crisis Intervention, CBRN preparedness and Search Responder.
