Avid reader, health and wellness enthusiast, beer connoisseur, travel buff, beach bum, football junkie, caffeine addict, country music lover. I enjoy the simple things in life like a day at the beach with the sand in my hair and the wind on my face. I love my boxer, Stella, with all my heart and soul; I could talk about her for hours and never get tired. You'll never find me without a smile or joke to lighten the moment - life is too short not to laugh everyday!
I'm currently enrolled in the Administration of Higher Education program at Suffolk University in Boston, MA with the expected graduation date of May 2014. I graduated from Suffolk in May 2012 with my Bachelor's in Business Administration and a concentration in marketing. Through some twists and turns in life, I decided that higher education and student affairs was where my passion lied, and I wouldn't change any of my experiences for the world. I believe wholeheartedly that student involvement can shape a person's time in college, and I want to be able to share my experiences with the students that I will be working with in the future.
I'm presently working as a graduate fellow at Suffolk University where I like to consider myself a "jack of all trades." I work on a multitude of activities ranging from Student Government Association to parent & family research to service learning training. My position here will not only teach me how to be a well-rounded higher education professional, but it will teach me the art of learning how to balance a plethora of activites at one time. I also work as a graduate assistant at MCPHS University in their Student Activities Office for the 2013-2014 school year. Additionally, this past summer, I worked with the Torch Scholars Summer Immersion Program at Northeastern University as a graduate assistant. This program exemplifies everything that I am looking to do with my career - encouraging student development, success, and involvement.
I truly appreciate every opportunity that I am given in life - it's a cliché, but life really IS too short to be anything but happy.
