Caterina Ghezzi
Student in Berlino, Germania
Dear people,
I am a Master student of International Cooperation for the Safeguarding of the Cultural Heritage at Bologna University.
Arts and culture have always been part of my life and I believe growing up in Italy played a big role in my academic choices.
Thanks to my MA, I am getting more involved in the study of the Political Sciences. I love and I needed to enter this field, since I believe it helps to read the world of yesterday and today in a more conscious way.
Indeed, my studies have brought me to have my mind always focused on both the present and ancient times.
I am above all interested in urban studies, issues of space and culture, identity and post-colonialism and 9gag.
I am now in Berlin in order to carry out my MA thesis research, based on the understanding of the reaction of the city's artistic and cultural scenario to the last migration flows.
I am a Nature lover and eager to feel energetic and positive.
I feel my identity in constant change. I have lived in different parts of Italy, for a long time in Istanbul, and now in Berlin. My studies and my trips have helped me to understand the fludity of concepts as culture, identity, traditions and reality itself.
Nonetheless, my self is based on a strong awareness of my onthological basis, which is so strong that can afford to get contaminated by the marvellous diversity that constitutes our world.
