Hi, my name is Cate. I am currently in the process of setting up as a self-employed home helper and personal assistant, providing practical home help and personal admin support to retired people.

I have over 20 years of experience working as an office manager and personal assistant for a variety of businesses, where I was often jokingly known as the office counsellor!

I then transitioned into a caregiving role, helping my parents in their final years with the practical aspects of daily life and assisting retired friends with general domestic support.

Originally from South London, I now live in the little seaside town of Seaford in East Sussex, just a short distance from Seaford Head Nature Reserve.

These days, life is a little quieter, and I love spending time with my husband Michael and an eccentric seagull called Dennis who seems to have adopted us!

In my spare time, I enjoy learning new things and reading about psychology, a subject that has fascinated me since childhood.

I also like watching TV dramas, reading non-fiction books, writing, exploring new places, dining out and chatting over a glass of wine or two in a local pub.
