Dr. Catharine Toso is a Doctor of Social Work graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. In Pennsylvania, Catharine owns and runs her own solo practice. She is also a licensed clinical social worker.

She helps couples work towards making a positive change in their relationships through counseling and mediation. In times of divorce, she aims to aid families with child custody and the difficult feelings that may arise from situations like these. When it comes to children, she serves as a guide for those struggling with learning disabilities. She teams up with others in the child's life, such as teachers and general health doctors to make a proper diagnosis.

Dr. Toso is involved in three fields of counseling: adult, child and adolescent, and family. Each type of client present a unique challenge and require their own solutions.

Anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and grief are several reasons why adults may seek some form of counseling.

During this time, children are beginning to form increasingly complex opinions. In this stage of developmental psychology, they are essentially grappling to find themselves. While they may seem volatile, they often just want to be heard.

Dr. Toso also has experience in family therapy. Broadly speaking, it deals with assessing and improving interpersonal relationships within the family unit. Families dynamics vary, as well as size. So, there are different approaches to this kind of counseling to match the family needs.

Clients of Catharine Toso comment on her ability to be a sounding board. Patients feel comfortable speaking and revealing their deepest emotions while on the road to a better quality of life. When she hears that a client thank her for changing th
